Where can I buy Lycogel?
Lycogel Camouflage and Lycogel Concealer are exclusively sold by specialists. This means that you will NOT find Lycogel at a drugstore or pharmacy, but can buy it at leading beauty therapists, skin specialists, aestheticians, dermatologists and other professionals in the (medical) beauty sector.
Why does my specialist not sell Lycogel?
Lycogel is a relatively new product and has only recently been introduced to Europe. Maybe your local specialist hasn't heard about it yet? Use the "Email a colleague" function to send a Lycogel link to your specialist by email. You can also recommend a local specialist to us using the contact form and we will contact them.
In how many colors / shades is Lycogel available?
Lycogel Camouflage is available in 10 different colors. Lycogel Concealer is available in 2 colors.
How do I choose my color?
Your specialist will help you in finding the right color for your skin. Wear a darker shade during the summer months and a lighter shade durin winter months.
Can I mix colors?
Yes. You can easily mix 2 colors to create a perfectly natural coverage as your skin tans or gets lighter as seasons change. Ask your specialist to show what colors are perfect for your skin type and how to create a custom color.
What is the best way to apply the foundation?
Use a professional foundation brush for best application, or apply with clean fingertips or a wedge sponge.
Do I need a powder?
Lycogel Camouflage & Concealer are designed to provide a natural, flawless finish while allowing your skin to breathe. Powder is not recommended and may prohibit the breathabililty of Lycogel. However, a light mineral or translucent powder may be dusted over the makeup if it is desired.
How do I remove the makeup?
Use a good cleanser or a gentle face wash to remove Lycogel Camouflage and Concealer.
I have very sensitive skin / problem skin condition. Can I still wear Lycogel foundation?
Yes. All Lycogel products are hypoallergenic and suited for even the most sensitive skin conditions. It can even be applied on heavily irritated skin or after a skin treatment, surgery or burn wounds - and will support the healing of your skin.
Is Lycogel non-comedogenic?
Yes. All Lycogel products are oil free and will not clog pores.
Does Lycogel provide SPF sun protection?
Yes. Lycogel Camouflage & Concealer provide SPF 30 for UVA / UVB sun protection.
Does Lycogel contain paraben?
No. Lycogel Camouflage & Concealer are paraben-free.
What is LYCD and what are the benefits?
LYCD, also known as live yeast cell derivative, is well known for its wound healing ability. Patented by Dr.Sperti in 1939, LYCD is referred to as a tissue respiratory factor that increases oxygen uptake of your skin.
Can LYCD cause a yeast infection?
No. LYCD is a yeast derived from plants and NOT from the bacterial form candidas.
Why is oxygen important to the skin?
Oxygen intake to the skin via LYCD increases your skin cells circulation. In doing this it helps speed along the recovery process for those who have problem skin and also improves normal skin.
Is Lycogel waterproof and can I swim wearing makeup?
Lycogel Camouflage and Concealer are water-resistant for up to 90 minutes.
Can I work out wearing Lycogel?
Yes, you can work out for at least 90 minutes wearing Lycogel. Because it is waterproof for 90 minutes and transfer resistant, sweating will not wear it off easily.
Does Lycogel easily rub-off to clothes because it is breathable?
No. In medical studies Lycogel has actually proven to be more transfer-resistant than any of the popular or traditional makeups on the market.
What procedures or skin conditions can I use Lycogel for?
Lycogel can be used for the following: Micro-dermabrasion, regular dermabrasion, facial surgery bruising, laser treatments, IPL treatments, scar revision, acne, rosacea, vitiligo, dermatitis, and anything in short that causes redness, swelling or bruising.
