"Friends are telling me I look very young and never more beautiful - I'm 60!

When I first started treatment I only wanted to use small amounts of injections. Now I leave the amounts up to Dr. Rakus and I can truly say 'more is better' - don't hesitate to go for it!"

Restylane Perlane Post-Treatmen Advice

Immediately after the treatment with Restylane Perlane there may be slight redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the Restylane Perlane injection. If the inconvenience continues or if other reactions occur, please contact your physician.

The Restylane Perlane treated area should be massaged gently for 30 seconds morning and night for 2 to 3 days.

The initial swelling after the Restylane Perlane treatment may last longer. Some patients experience swelling for about a week. This means that the result directly after the Restylane Perlane treatment should not be seen as the final result.

Avoid touching the Restylane Perlane treated area 6 hours after the treatment. After that the Restylane Perlane treated area can be gently washed with soap and water and light make-up can be applied.

Until the initial swelling and redness have resolved, do not expose the Restylane Perlane treated area to intense heat (e.g. solarium and sunbathing) or extreme cold.

If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another eruption of cold sores.

If you are using aspirin or any similar medication, be aware that these may increase the bruising and bleeding at the Restylane Perlane injection site.

Restylane Perlane contains the body's own natural material, hyaluronic acid.

How long will a Restylane Perlane treatment last?

Restylane Perlane treatment is long lasting but not permanent. You always have a choice to continue your Restylane Perlane treatment or change the combination of Restylane, Restylane Touch or Restylane Lipp treatments - and the procedure can be repeated as often as you like.

Most patients choose to have a follow-up Restylane Perlane treatment 6 to 12 months after an initial treatment of wrinkles. When the lips have been treated a follow-up treatment is normally needed after about 6 months.

A touch-up Restylane Perlane treatment within 2-4 weeks after the initial treatment may be necessary to achieve an optimal correction.

Clinical experience indicates that follow-up Restylane Perlane treatments normally require a smaller amount of the product.

"I can't get over all the comments I've had about how much younger I'm looking and my friends can't put their finger on it. " Have you had any surgery?" But they can't see the scars.
I'm thrilled!"
