THE BOTOX® WRINKLES TREATMENT
BOTOX® for wrinkles therapy is an effective treatment for frown lines and worry lines. BOTOX® wrinkles treatment will usually take effect after 3-5 days; however it may take 2 weeks for the maximum effect.
At this moment you will have a review appointment by Dr Rita.
The effect of the BOTOX® wrinkles treatment lasts between 3 to 6 months (average 4 months). Patients who have had several injections often find the effect persists longer.
BOTOX® SIDE EFFECTS
There are several possible side effects of BOTOX® treatment, but are minimal.
There may be a mild stinging sensation as the BOTOX® injection is performed. Mild weakness or paralysis of the eyelid (ptosis) or brow may occur with drooping of the eyelid or brow, lasting usually 2-3 weeks. This is temporary and may not even be noticed by the patient. The incidence of ptosis is approximately 2%.
The other BOTOX® side effects include transient headache, numbness or bruising, which are uncommon.
